The Politics of British Psychoanalysis | A Marxist/Anarchist critique | SCOPED framework discussed

Firstly, a summary of some basic object-relations theory is provided then a basic critque is provided from a marxist point of view. Finally, an overview of the current political situation in British Psychoanalysis, namely, the SCOPED programme and its effects on the psychotherapeutic community.

I don't mention Winnicott much in this video but he has the classic lib takes in his book playing and reality.

A further video may be made which looks specifically at Marxist Theorists of psychoanalysis, but as promised a response to the national question from Joseph Stalin will be published for viewers.

Other criticisms or things to consider;

forgot to include this in the video. In psychoanalysis there are "bloodlines", this means the people cloest to the leaderrs who were analysed by them tend to be higher up in the hierarchy. As marxists we would also criticise this as its not a gurantee someone who was analysed by one of these individuals would be a better psychotherapist.
