Shahid Morteza Motahhari Street (former name: Takht Tavous Street) is one of the central streets of Tehran. This street, which has a west-to-east direction, leads from the west to Valiasr Street (Pahlavi Street) and from the east to the Shahid Sayad Shirazi Highway. Takht Tavous Street is one-way to the east. This street was named after the Islamic Revolution in honor of Morteza Motahhari Rouhani and Iranian researcher.

The texture of Takht-e Tavous Street is administratively located and many government institutions, financial, commercial, service and industrial companies are located there. Takht Tavous Street is one of the main streets of Tehran's economy.

خیابان شهید مرتضی مطهری (نام پیشین: خیابان تخت طاووس) یکی از خیابان‌های مرکزی تهران است. این خیابان که جهتی غرب به شرق دارد، از سمت غرب به خیابان ولیعصر (خیابان پهلوی) و از سمت شرق به بزرگراه شهید صیاد شیرازی منتهی می‌شود. خیابان تخت طاووس به سمت شرق یک‌طرفه است. این خیابان پس از انقلاب اسلامی به افتخار مرتضی مطهری روحانی و پژوهشگر ایرانی نام‌گذاری شده‌است.

بافت خیابان تخت طاووس با موقعیت اداری است و بسیاری از نهادهای دولتی، شرکت‌های مالی، بازرگانی، خدماتی و صنعتی در آن مستقر هستند. خیابان تخت طاووس یکی از خیابان‌های اصلی اقتصاد تهران است.
