Zootopia 2 is a 2025 American animated comedy-adventure from Walt Disney Animation Studios, returning to the vibrant animal metropolis first introduced in Zootopia (2016).

Set after the original film, the sequel follows Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman) as they step fully into their roles as official detective partners within the Zootopia Police Department. Their partnership has grown from reluctant allies to a well-oiled team - but a strange new case threatens to shake everything up.

When a mysterious reptile named Gary De’Snake arrives in Zootopia, the city’s balance is thrown into chaos. To uncover the truth, Judy and Nick must go undercover across unfamiliar districts of the city, pushing them into situations that challenge their instincts, assumptions, and trust in one another.

While continuing Zootopia’s exploration of bias, identity, and coexistence, the sequel expands its world with new characters, higher stakes, and clever twists. Familiar faces return alongside fresh additions, making Zootopia 2 feel both nostalgic and boldly new - an evolution of the original film’s message about friendship, empathy, and unity in diversity.
