Telperion is a bit of a trip into a deep, space‑age synthetic dream, a drifting journey through infinite decay and dark shimmering textures.

Patch Notes:

1. Cloud Terrarium by Synthesis Technology rotating through its wavetable, laying down a morphing drone that subtly shifts over time.

2. Ensemble Oscillator by 4ms Company, with modulation on number of oscillators and cross‑FM, feeding the texture with movement and harmonic complexity.

3. Vhikk X by Forge TME, pulsating at a harmonic interval in terms of note, adding a rhythmic yet slow‑moving element against the sustained layers.

4. Krash noise from Zlob Modular, passed through a filter to craft a wind‑like noise field, filtering the rumble to give a sense of spatial breadth and atmospheric tension.

5. Rings by Mutable Instruments, played on/off by Marbles (also Mutable Instruments), routed through Ghost by Endorphin.es to low‑pass filter the resonance and add its own internal reverb and delay.

6. Reverb textures come from StarLab by Strymon, used heavily throughout — the Decay CV is modulated between high and very high, pushing the limits of the stereo field and decay tail.

7. Final end‑of‑chain reverb is added via the Drone Reverb setting on the TX‑6 by Teenage Engineering, acting as a final wash layer.

Hardware note: I'm using a pair of Finnes case feet to make the Intellijel 7U case stand up — a small but mighty change that improves ergonomics 🙏🏻.

The piece unfolds slowly through infinite space, with the modulated decay and multiple reverb layers giving the impression of sonic time dilation. Rings drifts in and out like a radio communication, while the filtered noise builds a planetary wind behind it all. Around halfway through, subtle new notes shift the melodic center slightly, deepening the harmonic bed. This is best suited for deep listening wth headphones, focus, or simply staring at the stars.
