Hello and welcome to my video. Today we are going to talk about Namaste Technology. In my opinion, I consider this a very big deal. On May 2, 2018 Namaste has bought out a company named Findify for 12 million. This deal consists of 2 parts. First part is that Findify accepted 10 million dollars worth of shares from Namaste, and second part is 2 million USD cash. Findify could have asked for the entire 12 million in cash, but they accepted 10 million of it in the form of shares priced at $1.80. At $1.80 per share, this equals 7 million shares and 2.5 percent of Namaste’s company. To me, this deal displays the confidence that Findify sees in Namaste.

Findify is a global leader in A.I. (Artificial intelligence) powered e-commerce personalization, delivering solutions such as personalized search, recommendations, and advanced data analytics. Among its customers are Nine West, PLV Shoes, and Rocketdog.
With over 1200 customers in more than 60 countries around the world. Findify has developed a unique machine learning core, that leverages user behaviour, to personalize online experiences in real-time. Findify’s machine learning technology has been proven to deliver up to 27% uplift in conversion rate, and up to 30% uplift in revenue per user.
Findify is an official Shopify Plus Technology Partner, recognized as a “Best-In-Class Solution” for modern, rapidly growing e-Commerce businesses. Shopify is publicly traded on the stock markets under the symbol TSX:shop and under NYSE:SHOP. They are worth 16 billion dollar canadian and 13 billion dollars USD.
To simplify all that, Findify is the company behind the scenes, that takes what you type into a search bar on a seller website and tries to match it as close as possible to what you actually want to buy, hence the personalization and recommendation parts. To put it even simpler, they are the sales people that helps you find what you want in a store. As for the “uplift in conversion rate” and “uplift in revenue per user”, that they talk about, it is simply the increase in actual customers coming into the store and buying stuff. They post the percentages to avoid giving out actual number of buyers because those numbers are important and sensitive data.
