Boots.....Boots....Boots! - The Evolution Of The Wellington (1928)

Описание к видео Boots.....Boots....Boots! - The Evolution Of The Wellington (1928)

Begins with a "flashback" sequence to when "Auntie's" Wellingtons were short and out of sight (in 1896).

"In 1896, when Mother was a little girl, Auntie's "Wellingtons" were short and nearly out of sight..." A woman in clothes appropriate to the era appears like a ghost through camera trickery and displays her Wellingtons by lifting her skirts. C/U of boots. An example of 1913 Wellingtons. A "land girl" modelling some Wellingtons whilst feeding the ducks. "In 1925, with the Russian craze, high boots developed in smartness. As Eve's skirts grew shorter, the leg of the boot grew higher." 1928 - Wellingtons with contrasting bright vamps and dull legs are modelled. A hunting style of boot is modelled. Very good C/U shots of lots of different boots. One pair has unusual leather with a cobweb motif. A group of 7 women dressed from styles ranging from 1896 to present day walk towards the camera.
