Whack the elite as much as you can. Else the Invulnerable Minions will get you. Note that if the witch doctor stand just next to the enemy, he can NEVER be hurt by their mortar since these are for ranged attacks only. You are right .... I should have made my stand, root myself and keep attacking. My bad!

Witch doctor skills: Poison Darts (splinters), Firebats (dire bats), Spirit Walk (healing journey), Soul Harvest (siphon), Zombie Charger (zombie bears), Fetish Army (head hunters).

Witch doctor passive skills: Jungle Fortitude, Spiritual Attunement, Spirit Vessel.

Templar skills: Intervene, Loyalty, Onslaught, Guardian.
