Arkhangelsk (Archangel) in 1958

Arkhangelsk situated in the north of European Russia lies on the banks of the Northern Dvina River near to its exit into the White Sea. In 1958 Semyon Friedland came to Arkhangelsk and photographed the town and her people extensively. Here I present a cross-section from those photographs.
