Vladimir Vladimirovich Shcherbachev (1887 — 1952)
Soviet composer and music teacher.
Shcherbachev's work is very diverse in genres. Among his works are the opera "Anna Kolosova", the musical comedy "Tobacco Captain", compositions for orchestra, for piano, music for plays and films. He planned to write an opera about Ivan the Terrible, but this idea remained unrealized. The leading theme of his work was the theme of modernity, which is reflected in his symphonies.
