After a brief stint in college, Randolph “Randy” Neff enlisted in the Marine Corps and was assigned to Gulf 2/5 in Vietnam. After being wounded in September of 1968, he was transferred to Hotel Company as TACP (Tactical Air Control Party) coordinating air support, gun support, and medevacs from November to September of 1969.
