ABOUT THE RAF AIRMAN TEST (AST)
There are lots of different trades available in the Royal Air Force and they all require different scores on the Airman Selection Test. Therefore, it is important to get the highest score possible during the test.

The RAF Airman Test (Airman Selection Test) consists of:
VERBAL REASONING TEST - this test will determine how effectively you can interpret written information.

NUMERICAL TEST – this test will assess how well you interpret numerical data.

WORK RATE TEST - this test is utilised to see how fast you can work and also how accurate your work is.

SPATIAL REASONING TEST - this is designed to examine your ability to work with different shapes and objects.

MECHANICAL COMPREHENSION TEST - which is used to assess how effectively you can work with different mechanical concepts.

ELECTRICAL COMPREHENSION TEST - will assess your ability to work with different electrical concepts.

MEMORY TEST - determines how accurately you can remember and recall information.

3 TIPS FOR PASSING THE RAF AST TEST:

1. Practice LOTS OF TEST QUESTIONS.
2. PRACTICE UNDER TIMED CONDITIONS.
3. AIM FOR SPEED AND ACCURACY.
