Football - The last time a soccer ball was kicked at the Uganda National Football Stadium, Namboole Stadium was in 2017 when Uganda Cranes lost to Burkina Faso.

The stadium then went on for renovation to improve on making it a better footballing home for the Nation. Wednesday 1st May 2024 saw the ressurrection of Namboole Stadium with two test matches played at the grounds.

In the Uganda Super League, Bull FC beat Vipers FC by a goal to nil and in the second test match, KCCA FC beat rivals SC Villa 2-0 late on in the second half.
