Over the past six months, security forces have intensified their operations, pledging to eradicate Maoism from the region. Meanwhile, Maoists vow revenge, planning to observe Martyrs' Week starting July 28. Amid this violent struggle, the plight of innocent Adivasis caught in the crossfire remains largely ignored. In the village of Ghamandi, security forces recently claimed to have killed five Naxals, but villagers insist that the deceased were not Maoists. Our report shows the ground reality of these vulnerable communities trapped in a battle beyond their control.
