Continuing the fall walk thru of the farms woodlot during the fall.

It's a mixed Boreal Forest on the Northeast Coast of Newfoundland. Poor to medium site class. Logged 75 years ago and I've been pruning and thinning out the unhealthy stems and doing some thinking about animals being integrated into the stand.

Three main age classes dominate the stand with the new growth starting to take off and natural regen starting to establish as a fourth layer. Black spruce, larch, birch and white spruce.

Talking about utilizing a small drainage for water and some compost piles.
