Glorious CBR1100XX Blackbird #4 - Suspension, front and rear

Presenting a step-by-step guide how to rebuild the damper-rod fork. Also, Nitron R2 installation.
A substantial improvement to the handing of the CBR1100XX Blackbird can be had by upgrading its suspension. There is some investment involved, but if one plans on keeping the bike, I'd say it's worth it. The standard front suspension has progressive springs that are initially soft and the compression dampening is questionable. The rear shock could also be something more refined. And if the bike has 20 years without much service to either, likely the improvement from these upgrades is even more substantial.

The front in my Blackbird was upgraded with DMr BD20 fork cartridge kit from https://daughertymotorsports.com/
