🇧🇪 Brussels Trams & Premetro compilation

Описание к видео 🇧🇪 Brussels Trams & Premetro compilation

The Brussels tramway network opened in 1869 and now consists of 18 lines including 4 premetro lines. The premetro is essentially a completely grade-separated line with longer platforms and trams. The idea behind it is that they are eventually supposed to be converted to a standard metro line. The system uses a variety of rolling stock which contain PCC streetcars, 2000 series, and Bombardier Flexity Outlook trams. All trams have a livery of beige and silver with windows along each side. The fares are integrated with the rest of the STIB network in Brussels which cost 2.10€ per ride. The majority of tram lines are old so you'll often find them in streets with old buildings around them and very nice architecture. Brussels was one of the only cities in Europe to keep its original comprehensive tram network from the 1800s and I personally think it works quite well. I would recommend anyone in Brussels to use the network as it is a very efficient way to get around. Enjoy the video :)
