Soulstone shards just hit the Forerunner server and the system is a disaster. At current values, most players need about 4.5 to 18 months to craft a single Unpolished Hero Soulstone. Lucky/high-level players might reach just under 3 total in a little over a year, while average players are staring at roughly 1 every 2 years. This must be fixed BEFORE global.

What changed
Shards for Unpolished Hero Soulstones were enabled on Forerunner
Source: Guild Boss only, with very low shard amounts
On paper it sounded additive and helpful; in practice it is almost nothing

Why this is bad
Awakenings are essential and many top heroes basically require them
Awakening demand rose while soulstone access fell this year
Tiny shard income does not solve the problem and erodes trust
Devs pledged full stone drops wouldn’t be affected, yet drops already felt nerfed

What needs to happen
Greatly increase shard amounts or add more reliable sources
Add shards for Legendary Hero Soulstones too
Publish transparent drop tables and shard math by boss level
Tie shard progress to daily engagement so players feel real progress, not years of waiting
