In episode 10 of let's play RimWorld alpha 16, we continue our story of a tribe living in a mountainous, swampy forest region, using Randy Random storyteller to spice things up.

We hit winter in RimWorld with an uncertain amount of food and a desire to research enough to comfortably form caravans and do some trading en route. But Old Gitessa is our latest colonist to keep having a mental break, putting our preparations in peril!

Then a flashstorm causes a fire larger than Old Gitessa's pyromania - can we be bothered to put it out?! We also get a new colonist Jellyfish Cervexa, who we soon rename Sting because we are so hilarious.

And we finally research the ability to make power, so we build a wind turbine. We can also finally research stonecutting, allowing scultures to be made and traded.

Also in this episode of let's play RimWorld alpha 16: The dog is doing research, the mysterious snowman, Paul continues to resist recruitment, researching electricity, mad ram, you get a parka, and you get a parka, a surprising lack of food, we finally have power!, alphabeavers, and making money from a trade caravan.
