This video is all about which is the best vegan mac and cheese recipe. I'm making two of the most popular recipes on the internet, "Gotta Have It" vegan mac and cheese from Buzzfeed Tasty and "Marry Me" vegan mac and cheese from Thee Burger Dude

Both recipes promise to be an easy, creamy, cheesy, dairy free, plant based dinner, but which one is the best vegan mac and cheese?

Afterwards, I’ll attempt to make my own “best of both” version, where I combine the richest, creamiest and cheesiest elements from each recipe into my own vegan comfort food delight.

If you’re looking for an easy vegan dinner or something to warm and comfort you as the weather gets colder, watch as a husband cooks for his wife to give her the greatest vegan mac and cheese he can muster up!

My final recipe - Gotta Marry Me Vegan Mac And Cheese
Serves 2

Ingredients:
3-4 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tbsp vegan butter
1 tbsp flour
1 tsp dijon mustard
1 tsp Italian/mediterranean seasoning
1/2 tsp chilli flakes
1 cup vegetable stock
1/4 cup sun dried tomatoes, chopped
7oz vegan cheese, shredded
1/2 cup nutritional yeast or vegan parmesan (I used parmesan)
Approx 1.5 cups/180g dried elbow macaroni
salt and pepper to taste.

Method:
1. cook the pasta in salted water for 1 minute less than the package instructions.
2. Melt the butter, garlic, mustard, seasoning and chilli together
3. Add flour and cook and stir for about 2 minutes
4. Slowly whisk in stock bit by bit, making sure it's all incorporated fully before adding more.
5. Add the vegan cheeses and or nutritional yeast and sun dried tomatoes and stir/cook until fully melted.
6. Stir through cooked pasta and serve
7. sprinkle over pepper and if you really like it salty, extra salt but there's already salt from the cheeses and stock in there, so taste it first!
8. Enjoy!
