The Doctor (December 28, 1952)

This obscure medical anthology series originally ran on NBC from 1952-53, for a total of 43 episodes. Stories focused more on emotional and mental health, and were presented by 'The Doctor' (played by Warner Anderson, who acted in a few episodes).

When reruns of the series went into syndication, the introductions and commentaries by Warner Anderson's Doctor were dropped in favor of a stranger, seen only from the back, who observed the events of each story. This repackaged version of the series was called "The Visitor".

This episode from "The Visitor" run of the series was titled "A Tale of Two Christmases", and followed the life of a dysfunctional family from Christmas of 1951 to Christmas of 1952. Richard McMurray and Margaret Hayes star.
