Here’s a Pro Tip that you can use to improve your Recruitment Marketing and employer branding strategy.

One of the things Aspen put into place to help with reluctant storytellers is a coach. The coach goes through Aspen’s resources for identifying potential storytellers, then she personally reaches out to them and schedules some time to walk them through it.

That includes showing them how to use Aspen’s tools, talking about the questions Aspen would like them to answer to help with recruiting, teasing those employee stories out of our team members and letting them know that their work story is meaningful and powerful. Aspen wants employees to tell their stories, and they don’t have to worry about saying the wrong thing because they are asking a very specific question, and they know the story they are talking about. The coach really works to build these amazing libraries and has been teasing hundreds of stories out of employees. She has a whole set schedule on how she reaches out to people, how she follows them and a working spreadsheet that has been hugely impactful for Aspen.

While Aspen was already getting some employee stories before, by putting this coaching process in place, Aspen is now getting a really consistent flow of new employee stories, and every single week our library is building to support our talent acquisition strategy.
