Restoring Ground That's Dominated by Invasive Reed Canary Grass for Better Deer Habitat

Описание к видео Restoring Ground That's Dominated by Invasive Reed Canary Grass for Better Deer Habitat

Reed canary grass is a tough species to have on your property given how aggressively it takes over an area and destroys native habitat.  Tackling invasive reed canary grass can be a major undertaking and sometimes may be too daunting to make the effort to clean it up.  But, if you have a spot that is easy to burn and run a sprayer through, it is worth the effort to attempt to recover the area for native habitat.  It's a multi-year commitment to clean it up, but giving back that space to native plants is worth it.  The wildlife, in particular whitetail deer, will take notice.  In this video, I show the beginning stages of our effort to recover an area dominated by reed canary grass and discuss what our plans are for this area are in the future.
