Hello, I’m Amine MAALEM, a data science and artificial intelligence student at Ecole Nationale Polytechnique.
In this video, I’m excited to showcase Fotochipi, an image processing application I developed that combines traditional image enhancement techniques with AI-powered upscaling, all in a user-friendly interface.

Key Features Include:

1- Gray Scale Enhancements – Options for quantization, windowing, logarithmic and gamma intensity adjustments, and inversion.

2- Color Enhancements – Color adjustments including histogram equalization, stretching, and channel inversion.

3- Noise Reduction – Filters to reduce noise, with adjustable parameters for precise control, including mean, Gaussian, and median filters.

4- Edge Detection – Canny edge detection algorithm, allowing sensitivity adjustments for refined edge clarity.

5- AI Super-Resolution (ESRGAN) – Leveraging the ESRGAN model by Xintao, Fotochipi features a Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) that upscales images by 4x, greatly enhancing image resolution and clarity.

This project allowed me to apply my studies to a hands-on project, merging AI techniques with image processing to create a versatile, practical tool.
