Is the TAC-14 detachable mag version better when outfitted with a SB Tactical brace? We are in the desert again to find out. The TAC-14 was given a full wring out earlier here [   • Hassle Free Sawed Off:  The Remington TAC-14   20 ga version], this will add opinion and data to the original GRV.
We'll shoot buckshot, slugs, and other loads and you'll see with the "close in" nature of the brace, some face slapping recoil ensues. But it remains a compact shotgun package with a higher rounds count than the regular 4+1 version. You will have to figure out how to carry those big magazines. I was impressed how the TAC-14 magazine ran and unlike the Shockwave DM, it had zero problems here. The 870 at its heart is still smooth and fast and we'll shoot a Tactical version for comparison.
