My Hysterectomy Journey Gave Me My Life Back | 21Ninety

While the uterus can be the source of much joy, when involving conception and childbirth, it also can be a daunting, troublesome organ for many Black and Brown women. From endometriosis and uterine fibroids to different fertility woes, women of color are facing uterine complications that often make life painful. 21Ninety’s Youterus franchise, explores these topics in-depth.
This includes the heartfelt story of Melody Brown, Blavity’s Associate Vice President of Consumer Media, who underwent a hysterectomy in early 2024.
