I never thought moving a couch into an apartment could be such a pain. This particular couch has a huge back so it was very difficult getting it into the apartment. I had JR, Hashi, and Travis help me. We first tried to get it through the door, but the area was too narrow and there wasn't enough room to maneurver. We then had to haul the couch back down. I decided that we had to get it up through the balcony. It was a crazy ideal and I know some people doubted me... Thanks JR for being the only one that believe in the concept. haha.

We would have JR and Hashi on the bottom and Travis and I at the top. We would then use two ropes and just lay them behind the couch while all of us simultaneously holding the ropes. With one rope on each side, JR and Hashi would push the couch off the ledge while holding their ropes. Travis and I would then pull the ropes to get the couch verticle and JR and Hashi would then place the couch on the railing's edge. Then Travis and I would pull the couch up. Simple enough concept... but of course things could have gotten messy. Praise God that He kept us safe and we manage to get it up to the balcony.

Of course... it took another 20 minutes to finally get it through the glass doors... Thanks Travis.

The whole time though... Travis wasn't too sure what the plan was and Hashi fully believed that the couch would fall to its doom.

It was a great feeling getting the couch inside. We celebrated with Zankou Chicken. Yum.

Carrie and I gave it a good clean and scrub later that day - it went through a lot.
