Wii Sports Resort - Wakeboarding

Wakeboarding is one of 12 games available in Wii Sports Resort. It can be played by up to four players taking turns.

Unlike most sports, this game is played with the Wii Remote held sideways. The main gameplay revolves around the player's Mii riding a wakeboard while being towed by a rope behind the boat. The boat is controlled by Miis stored on the player's console (if there are none, the Miis are randomly generated). The time limit is 2 minutes.

The goal is to jump off the distortion in the water caused by the boat (a "wake", hence the name of the sport) and land flat to score points. Extra points can be earned by shaking the Wii Remote as the Mii jumps off the wake to perform a trick. The amount of points earned from jumps and tricks depends on the height, timing, angle and sequence.

On higher difficulties, there are some objects on the water. These can cause the player's Mii to lose its grip on the rope, either by getting caught in the rope or by running into the object.

There are three levels of difficulty:

Beginner - There are no obstacles to worry about.
Intermediate - There are a few obstacles on the course, such as the Barnacle Arch and posts.
Expert - The course is essentially one big obstacle course with many obstacles (including posts).
