Weekly Slowstitch 2024 - Week Six

Week six of my weekly slowstitch-along for 2024. This week we will consider those 'tricksy cloths ', the ones that are more challenging to use because they are slippery or thick or thin or hard to stitch through. We will 'listen' to the cloth and be guided by what it tells us through its texture and how it behaves under the needle and thread.

In my example, I use silks of different kinds, thick cotton, wool blanket and recycled polyester and share some ways to use them in your slow stitch work, while still enjoying the process of stitching.
