Exploring the softer side of Beaufort Brass

Описание к видео Exploring the softer side of Beaufort Brass

Orchestral Tools' new brass library was specifically designed for loud brass fanfares. However, the library also includes legato and some features to help with lower dynamics (e.g. modelled soft dynamics and a "niente"-feature that lets you fade to silence without using CC11). This brings up the question: How well do these features work and how flexible is Beaufort Brass really? Can it only do the loud fanfares (Star Wars Main Titles mockup coming soon btw) or are the softer dynamics also useable?

(...sorry for the crackling around 4 and 5 minutes btw - I believe this was caused by OBS, it's not the fault of the library.)

All patches are using the default mic mix (mostly the tree mics with a bit of close mics) with no external processing. Every midi clip is played twice - once without Niente and the Soft Low Layer and once with them enabled. The modulation data for these second versions is a little different because you can't use the bottom of the modwheel (except for the beginning and end of a phrase) with Niente enabled.
