I’ve been trying for days to create a caption; to find the right words to describe this project; to explain the late nights of writing, recording, and crying; to expand upon the work of the beautiful people that helped to make this video a reality. Finally, I decided that it would be best to let it speak for itself. Just read these words and take them to heart: Black lives matter today and every day. This is not a trend. This is not political. This is life or death. We will not stop until there is justice for George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Elijah McClain, Sandra Bland, Trayvon Martin, Riah Milton, Dominique Fells, Tony Mcdade, and every other Black person who has been unjustly murdered. If you are silent, if you have become complacent, know that you are complicit in the violence against us. STOP KILLING US.
