Road to Hana: The Ins and Outs of a Small Group Tour

We got feedback from several groups of our friends that went on the Road to Hana in the 12 months before us that whomever was driving did not really get to enjoy the experience because the road is twisty & turny and they had to pay attention to what they were doing, where they were going, and not the scenery around them. For some people the drive was very stressful.

Based on this advise, we decided to take a small group tour with only a few other couples in a van and a tour guide so that neither of us had to drive and we could both enjoy it.

There are definitely pros & cons to taking a group tour vs doing the drive yourself, as you will see in the video.

Highlights of the tour: The scenery was gorgeous. We stopped at multiple waterfalls, a black sand beach, explored a lava tube, and got to watch sea turtles.
