ome “sharp-shooters” shot dead a gangster, Manpreet Singh, alias ‘Manna’, outside a gym in a shopping mall complex on Bathinda road in Malout town on Monday evening.

Manna (35), son of a former councillor of the Congress, had come to a gym on a Jaguar car along with his friend.

When the duo came out of the gym, the assailants present there in a Brezza car fired nearly 25 rounds.
Sources said six-seven bullets hit Manna’s head and chest which claimed his life.

He was taken to the Civil Hospital, Malout, where the doctors declared him dead. His friend Jacky Kalra, who suffered a minor injury on his leg, was busy giving statement to the police at the time of filing of this report.
