Halloween Ends stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Andi Matichak, Kyle Richards, Will Patton, Rohan Campbell as Corey Cunningham, Nick Castle and James Jude Courtney as Michael Myers.

Four years after the events of Halloween in 2018, Laurie has decided to liberate herself from fear and rage and embrace life. But when a young man is accused of killing a boy he was babysitting, it ignites a cascade of violence and terror that will force Laurie to finally confront the evil she can’t control, once and for all.

The first trailer for Halloween Ends proved the sequel is already making up for the mistakes of Laurie Strode's storyline in Halloween Kills. The original Halloween may have ended on an ambiguous note when serial killer Michael Myers disappeared after being shot six times, but it was never intended to launch a series. Nor was it intended to inspire an entire slasher subgenre.

The Halloween movie franchise eventually became something of a "choose your adventure" as the timeline became tangled with multiple retcons and reboots. Blumhouse hit the reset switch once again with Halloween 2018, wiping out everything bar Halloween 1978. The resulting legacy sequel was both a solid success and earned good reviews. The same can't quite be said for Halloween Kills, which picked up shortly after the events of 2018's and saw Michael Myers go on a bloody rampage across Haddonfield reel rejects.

While the plot is under wraps, the first Halloween Ends official trailer shows that Laurie Strode and Michael Myers will come to violent blows once more. Not only that, their clash looks even more intense than their bout in Halloween H20. Being that Halloween Kills sold itself as the middle chapter in a trilogy, there was always a limit to how climatic it could be. The Halloween Ends reaction does have that problem, and in a way no other sequel in the franchise has offered, it can deliver a satisfying "end" for Michael Myers. So far, Halloween Ends test screening audiences seem happy.
