Mapu Huni Kuin is a prominent spiritual leader, chief, and musician of the Huni Kuin people, who was born in the Kaxinawá Ashaninka Indigenous Land of Rio Breu. When he was young, he was chosen by his grandfather to follow the spiritual path, and today he acts as a political and spiritual representative of his people, being the founder and president of the Huwã Karu Yuxibu Center. Recognized nationally and internationally for his work in preserving the Huni Kuin cultural identity and defending the environment and the rights of indigenous peoples, Mapu is a renowned activist and prominent figure in high-level events. Furthermore, as a musician, he has established a collaborative partnership with the renowned electronic music producer in Brazil, DJ Alok. Through his work as a spiritual leader, Mapu is deeply committed to facilitating inner healing, which he believes is fundamental to humanity's collective awakening. The Huwã Karu Yuxibu Center is a non-profit social project founded in August 2015 with the mission of strengthening the culture and spirituality of the Huni Kuin people. Coordinated by the spiritual leader and chief Mapu Huni Kuin, along with a technical team and the support of partners and volunteers, the center is located in a private area a few kilometers from the city of Rio Branco, capital of the state of Acre, in the Brazilian Amazon. With the help of donations and the spiritual work carried out by the Mapu leader, we carry out activities aimed at environmental preservation, the promotion of food security, and the cultivation of traditional foods. In addition, we promote the empowerment and autonomy of indigenous families and young students who have moved from their villages and now face marginalization and social vulnerability in the urban area.
