熱血超冒険！Hot Blood Super Adventure! Episode 1 - Leave the bully extermination to me... My name is Kunio!


For ten long months, I’ve been working hard to finish this new entity.

熱血超冒険！(Nekketsu Chō Bōken!) or Hot Blood Super Adventure! is an old project I made about four years ago. It is generally based on the Nintendo 3DS port of Nekketsu Kōha Kunio-kun. My original idea was to make a series about Kunio-kun built from the aforementioned storyline with my own touches.

I have to give credit where it is due, however. TheLastDyne is the guy who originally came up with the concept, but wasn’t willing to put in the work to see such a project come to fruition. Me being the ambitious idiot I am, found it interesting and took it upon myself to put this project into action.

Even though Dyne wanted to create an origin story based on the Western version of Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari (River City Ransom), I still thought it was a pretty cool idea, except, I removed Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari, and focused on where it all started; Nekketsu Kōha Kunio-kun.

Four years ago, I made an incomplete sample of a random entity titled “Nekketsu Chō Bōken”, which translates to Hot Blood Super Adventure. At the time, my skills in Flash and overall resources were not that good to put it mildly, and having a crappy computer definitely didn’t help contribute either.

Essentially, I was going to need better equipment; my skills sharpened, and create an array of new more advanced sprites to really see this series take off. So ultimately, I put the project on the back burner and continued to work on my DNMF series.

A lot has changed in four years; new equipment; improved skills, and last but not least, better resources have all become a reality for me. I thought it would be a good time to re-imagine an entity that I felt had great potential. In November of last year, I started rebuilding an animation that I almost gave up on.

Hot Blood Super Adventure is without a doubt my crowning achievement in the history of all of my prior Kunio-kun animations. Blood, sweat and tears has been dedicated to the ten long months of commitment I put into the production behind this project.

I am extremely proud of what I’ve done here, and I hope that everyone who are fans of my past entities will get a kick out of this. It was long and frustrating at times, but I had a blast making this episode; definitely a labor of love.

I wouldn’t mind turning this into a new series and base it as my channels main source of entertainment. However, that all comes down to the kind of support and positive feedback I get from it.

Lastly, I also want to apologize in advance if some of my Japanese translations are a little off. I am still fairly new at learning the language so cut me some slack.

Again, depending on the kind of feedback I get from this, I may release a Japanese dub version later down the line for all my Eastern viewers, (if any).
