Parenteau Lake: Canoe / Camp / Fish - Part I

Описание к видео Parenteau Lake: Canoe / Camp / Fish - Part I

On this adventure I decide to portage into Parenteau Lake which is situated East of Mirond Lake in East central Saskatchewan. In the past, Silence of the North resort serviced this lake, but with the change in ownership the lake hasn’t been visited recently by the outfitter. Additionally, in 2017 the Granite Lake Forest fire burnt up the portages, so it's unlikely many people have fished it since then.

According to the HABISask website, the lake offers Northern Pike, Lake Trout and Walleye. The lake is moderately easy access and with no cabins on the lake. A perfect Canoe/Camp/Fish locale if you don’t want to see a soul and not work very hard to do so. The distance it took from Silence of the North, paddling up the full length of the stream to Parenteau Lake was approximately 15km's. An easy days paddle! One last note, the campsite I stayed on could easily accommodate more tents, has great canoe parking but would be fairly exposed if there was a North or East wind.

I just want to mention that I made last minute parking arrangements with Silence of the North, they were courteous, friendly and willing to accommodate.
