Daniel’s Travel Vlog

This video is part of a series of videos of domestic travel within Japan to share with you the breathtaking beauty of Japanese landscape from the air.

Welcome onboard my return flight from Oita and Beppu on Kyushu Island onboard All Nippon Airways B 767-381ER JA608A, being the remaining of two ANA B 767-300 carrying the beautiful 鬼灭之刃 Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba livery on a beautiful day with amazing views.

Runway 16L/34R was reopened on this day, January 8, only six days after the collision of Japan Airlines A-350-941 JA13XJ with Japan Cost Guard Dash 8 JA722A on January 2, 2024.

Not a single trace of both wreckages was to be detected on the runway and traffic was back to normal.

Unfortunately this flight was delayed obviously caused by an inoperable brake actuator.

The issue was resolved and we were on our way 90 minutes behind schedule.

Thank you for visiting my channel.

History of Boeing 767-381ER JA608A

Serial number 32977 / Line number 886 was manufactured 2002, performed her first flight on August 21, the same year and was delivered on August 28, 2002 to All Nippon Airways.

JA608A was configured in a C35Y179 seating layout until July, 2018 and was reconfigured in a C10Y260 layout thereafter.

ANA announced on November 15, 2021 that it would be applying a Demon Slayer-themed livery on its Boeing 767 aircraft.

The first livery鬼灭之刃 Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba was applied to JA616A and enrolled
on January 30, 2022.

JA608A with a second livery scheme followed two months later on March 26, 2022.

In-flight services include a limited edition of special headrest covers and aprons for the cabin attendants as well as in-flight announcements by the characters, which however were suspended on this flight, as the inflight entertainment system was not working.

This TV anime series, based on the manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, was published by Shueisha Jump Comics and has sold over 150 million copies.

The story features a boy named Tanjiro Kamado, who became a demon slayer in revenge for his family being killed by demons.

The story became a hit series, gaining worldwide popularity and ANA secured the copyrights for using these anime characters for a special domestic campaign.

"Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Movie: Mugen Train" is the continuation of the TV animation and was released on October 16, 2020 in a theatrical adaption followed by the introduction of a TV-series version on December 5, 2021.

JA608A remains the only ANA B 767-300 with the 鬼灭之刃 Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba livery, after JA616A was restored to the standard ANA livery in November, 2023 following major overhaul in Xiamen.

JA608A is operating mainly on the domestic network of All Nippon Airways.
