Vijay’s Father S A Chandrasekhar comes out heavily on the allegation made towards him and his son inciting religion and caste issues recently. He tells God resides within us and not in temple. This is a blind faith of our people. Why separate us on basis of religion, caste and other issue? Do we drink and eat with friends knowing each other’s caste? He was reacting to the controversy after ‘Mersal’ release that targeted his son and even him (religion and caste). He urged all the politicians to let the film industry to grow without any political interference. Politics and cinema are two different platform, he felt. He said he is an old man (running 76) but hoped that such thoughts on caste and religion would only divide ourselves and be a real danger to our society. He told he had often urged many people not to invite him for any public event as he cannot keep quite after listening to such controversy. He gave a quick signal in his speech that Vijay will enter into politics someday. Stay tuned.
