Today I going to be teaching you how to perform tftp recovery on unifi access point or flashing firmware on it, this is basically used if the device is bricked or even if it is not bricked but you are not able to adopt it and have performed every steps in order to integrate it in controller, so this can help majority of time to fix most of the issues on this device.I've included the steps below which can help.

Steps below:

►Connect Unifi access point directly to your computer LAN port using POE adapter. Cable from PoE port on adapter to main port of access point and Second cable from LAN port on adapter to LAN port on computer.

►Press and hold the reset button on device until you see the lights alternating between blue/off/white or green/off/orange.

Download Pumpkin software and latest firmware file as per access point model.

►Set static IP to LAN port of your computer by going to "Network and Sharing center" as shown in a video. For MAC you can go to network settings from system preferences and select the settings as manual to set static IP.

►Open Pumpkin application and click on "Put File" and Select the firmware file which you have downloaded on your computer". The firmware will be transferred to the access point and the lights on access point will start to flash quickly, it will take upto 15mins to finish and your access point will restart automatically so, do not disconnect or try to restart it manually. Please be patient and wait. Once done Connect the access point in the same network as controller computer and adopt the access point.
