One of the all-time great rousing gospel numbers, in my book. I can imagine how well this must have gone over at church services, with the group raising the intensity & then drawing it back (“Wait a minute! Wait one minute!”) before picking it up again. Apparently from Denham Springs, Louisiana or that general vicinity, it seems they (or an offshoot group) also cut at least one 45 for Golden Records, as Russell Lee & the Seven Wonders. If you know more, I would be very interested to learn more about this group & their output.
