Kerns is the only black and veteran owned bowling center in New York State. Kerns Avenue Bowling Center was the first recipient of the vacant rental program, brought by former New York State Senator Sean Ryan, now Mayor of Buffalo, New York. The RARE Place, Inc. is housed within Kerns, continuing to make it a community hub for families.
