Early Implant Placement with simultaneous Contour Augmentation using GBR – The Buser Technique

Описание к видео Early Implant Placement with simultaneous Contour Augmentation using GBR – The Buser Technique

Post-extraction implant placement in the esthetic zone is challenging for involved clinicians. The clinician has 3 options to choose from: (1) Extraction and immediate implant placement with internal grafting using a flap-less approach and computer-assisted surgery; (2) Extraction and spontaneous socket healing, followed by early implant placement after 4 to 8 weeks with a simultaneous contour augmentation using GBR; and (3) Extraction and socket grafting for ridge preservation, followed by implant placement after 4-6 months or even later. These 3 treatment approaches work very well and I am using them all in daily practice based on well defined selection criteria!
This animation video demonstrates the 2nd option, which is most often used by group (about 70%), when the facial bone wall at the extraction site is either thin (less than 1mm) or deficient.
