What Does a Copy Editor Do?

What does a copy editor do? Copy editing is an important part of your book writing process, but not as scary as you might think!

A copy editor is taking a micro view of your manuscript, going line by line to make sure it flows well. They'll check for tone of voice, consistency, making sure the content is right for the intended audience, grammar mistakes, and punctuation.

The copy editor is also looking for content flow and clarity. Of course, we want to make sure you book makes sense for the readers! There are different type of editors, so I wanted to clarify what things a copy editor actually does!
