Surface Laptop Go Unboxing

I’ve been wanting to buy a Windows Laptop for a while now, but nothing really felt right. I didn’t want to spend a ton of money, but I did want really good build quality. The Surface Go 2 was something I had my eye on for a while, but the price-to-performance ratio just didn’t seem justifiable.

That was when the Surface Laptop Go caught my eye. I liked it from the moment I saw it, but was upset with the pricing on that as well. The most expensive spec was $899, and for that money you could get way better windows laptops (performance wise). I ended up just waiting to see what else came up.

Well, the waiting paid off because over the holiday weekend Microsoft discounted the Platinum top-spec Surface Laptop Go by $150. At $750, this laptop made A LOT MORE sense and was something I could justify. Sure the performance isn’t the best, but it promises excellent build quality and a fantastic design.

So today I will unbox my first new windows laptop in 12 years! I’ll be setting it up and giving you my initial impressions on it as well.
