Why I quit modelling.

i realised i’d never explained why or really when i actually quit modelling.

i had so many experiences over the course of half a decade of not being paid for jobs, not seeing any photos of myself and meeting entitled people.

this is my own experience in Sydney as a petite model; knowing i put in more effort than i needed to gives me the comfort that i can put this side hustle to rest.

poetic imagery: the Hebrew word for ‘proverb’ means comparison. they make the meaning vivid. there are comparisons and pictures in Proverbs. a gold ring in a pig snout is a beautiful woman without discretion. wise teaching is a fountain. grey hair is the crown of splendour. personification puts the non human into human terms. wisdom makes a speech at the city gate. folly is an unruly woman who is airheaded. elements of poetry make Proverbs easier to interpret and to put into practice or to memory —— Mon 6 April 2020
