Prune Stack - plugin for MuseScore 4

Описание к видео Prune Stack - plugin for MuseScore 4

This is an update on my Prune Stack plugin that now works with MuseScore 4. It works the same way for previous versions, only now if you want to use it in MuseScore 4 you can!

Source code for latest is here:
https://github.com/birdwellmusic/Prun...

Download these two files (for MuseScore 4.x)
* prunstack-4x.qml
* prunestack.png

Copy those two files to your local MuseScore plugins folder:

* Where is this folder? Go to the MuseScore preferences menu:
* Edit / Preferences : General / Folders / Plugins
* Example: C:/Users/[Your Name]/Documents/MuseScore4/Plugins
* Tip: make it pretty and create and copy the files to a "prunestack" sub folder!
* Example: C:/Users/[Your Name]/Documents/MuseScore4/Plugins/prunestack/ ... (copy files here!)
* Once you have the files copied, either restart MuseScore or click "Reload Plugins" from Plugins | Manage plugins menu

What is Prune Stack?

Prune Stack is a plugin for MuseScore that allows you to remove (or prune) notes from vertically stacked notes, sometimes referred to as "block voicings". If you've ever written for big band, a sax section, then you're familiar with that. And while the "Explode" tool in MuseScore may help you distribute notes to staves, there are cases where another tool, like Prune Stack, can be useful too, especially if you're copying notes from your sketch staves and distributing notes to other instruments that may or may not be suitable for simply using the "Explode" tool.

So how might this little plugin help you as a composer/arranger?

1. It's intended as productivity tool when arranging/orchestrating.
2. Particularly well-suited for those orchestrating from your sketch staves to other instrument staves.
3. Works well in combination with other tools like "Explode" - Prune Stack doesn't replace any tool, just extends your tool box!
4. You can undo any action with this plugin.
5. It's easy to learn - and there are functional versions of Prune Stack for MuseScore 2, 3 and now 4!
