GRID – kinetic installation by Christopher Bauder and Robert Henke

GRID is an immersive installation by light artist Christopher Bauder and electronic musician Robert Henke. Their audiovisual collaboration is a powerful stimulation of senses and imagination. Bauder’s kinetic lights moving in horizontal and vertical lines with an absolute precision merge with the synthesized sound by Henke and open a gate to the outer world.

In September 2018, GRID became a headliner of Volvo Art Sessions in Zurich. As suggested by the ‘Human Meets Digital – Shaping New Realities’ theme of the Art Sessions, this audiovisual journey blurred boundaries between art and technology and brought together innovation, art, and design.

The technical expertise, as well as winches and triangle rods used for GRID, were provided by the German motor winch brand Kinetic Lights.
