Ratio of Cornstarch to Cooking Liquid (there is no exact science to this):
1-part cornstarch to 2-part cooking liquid – is a good ratio to use

Amount of Cornstarch used to thicken 1 cup or 250ml of Sauce or Gravy:
Thin sauce .5 tbsp or 3.75g
Medium Thick sauce 1 tbsp or 7.5g
Thick sauce 1.5 tbsp or 11.25g
