Denver Labor Day 2013

Denver's :Labor Day Celebration is called A Taste of Colorado where oodles of restaurants and vendors mix booths on the streets around the State Capitol and Denver City & County Building -- Civic Center Park. Numerous music stages are running simultaneously. Much improved from previous years, the formal planting beds and fountain are fenced off and thus protected from pillage. The usual number of homeless and intoxicated and stoned are in the park (since many seem to lay claim to it) but they are safely in the minority and merely provide "object lessons" for families pointing out to their impressionable kids what the perils of drugs, alcohol, and "attitude" are.
On Friday night, Dennis DeYoung and the Music of STYX revival, Soul School, and Atomga were three of the groups performing between the fireworks.
