Children ages 4-12 participate in a fishing contest as the final event during a free kids fishing clinic Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Lum Park in Brainerd.

The clinic, which also included learning stations to teach fishing skills, prizes and lunch, was hosted by Brainerd Parks and Recreation and was sponsored by a host of area clubs and businesses.

Children were able to take home fishing tackle as mementos of the day.
